MDDC Strategic Growth Initiative

It is the desire of the Strategic Growth Initiative Plan Committee to partner with pastors and congregations to provide resources necessary to be successful in the field of harvest.

​

The Strategic Growth Initiative Plan was established to evaluate the district’s rate of growth, cast District vision and develop strategic objectives to help our district grow.

​

It is the vision of the MD/DC District:

  • To have at least 150 individuals teach at least one Bible Study lesson every week in our district.

  • To have at least 300 Bible Study lessons taught per week district-wide.

  • To have at least 500 students attend a Bible Study lesson every week in our district.

  • To have a minimum of 150 Small Group meetings conducted every week throughout our district.

Operational Elements

Based on the strategic objectives outlined above, four key operational elements have been identified to support our District-wide revival and harvest efforts.

 

Prayer

  • Prayer must be our primary focus. The Strategic Growth Initiative Plan Committee is committed to offering training on prayer at the district, sectional and local church level.  Additionally, the prayer coordinator will organize prayer at the District and sectional levels.

 

Training

  • If the District is to reach its revival and harvest objectives, equipping is vital.

 

  • The training team offers a variety of training sessions at our Ministers Retreat, District’s GO Conference, District camp and at Departmental events. Upon request, training can be provided to the local congregations.

 

  • The training committee has created a video library on YouTube that offers training in prayer, discipleship, leadership, teaching home bible studies, organizing and conducting small group ministry meetings. Click to explore the MD/DC District YouTube Training Channel.

 

The Bible Study Ministry

  • This ministry exists to encourage District churches to be active in teaching personal Bible studies. The coordinator will assist pastors and congregations with training on how to obtain and conduct personal Bible studies.

 

The Small Group Ministry

  • This ministry exists to provide support to churches initiating or involved in Small Group Ministry. The coordinator will assist pastors and congregations with training on how to organize and conduct small group meetings.
